If you are looking for plans in Guasca, we have the best option for you. This is the water route, a demanding, contemplative route of 16 km in high mountains, where we will discover the charming ravines and part of the water wealth of the Guasca region. Along the way we will see the exuberant vegetation representative of the Andean moors, which stand out for their biodiversity. We will advance along ecological trails that are part of the pilgrimage paths of the Muisca community in their payments of running the land, trails in which the blades and the Fausto Lagoon stand out.

Live a weekend of adventure. This trekking begins in the Páramo Grande in Guasca. We will walk through a natural reserve to discover the Water Route. In a paramo ecosystem above 3,600 meters above sea level. Along the way we will enjoy a beautiful waterfall and cross three streams of pure, crystalline water. We will visit the lagoon and the Fausto rock and if the weather permits and there is not much fog, we will see the peaks of the Siecha blades in the Chingaza National Natural Park.

We must be prepared for the unpredictable weather of the wastelands. Strong winds, the paramo ecosystem has extreme climates, very cold mornings and, if the sky clears clouds, very hot days. Get ready to enjoy!

Faust's Lagoon

Located in the upper part of the Páramo Grande de Guasca. The surroundings are characterized by having rocky outcrops, viewpoints of the Junín region, a paramo ecosystem full of frailejones and abundant water sources.

Páramo Grande de Guasca

Located in the municipality of Guasca in the province of Guavio east of Cundinamarca, the Páramo Grande is part of the Chingaza paramos complex. The surface of the Páramo Grande covers 20.64% of the total area of the Chingaza paramos complex (Morales et al., 2007). According to (Diaz & Zamora, 2011), it is estimated that the total area of paramo in the municipality of Guasca is 19,177 ha, that is, the equivalent of 52.85% of the total area of the municipality.

🥾 We will take a walk between ravines and waterfalls. Wearing shoes that can get wet, boots or footwear with a good grip sole that protects the ankle is ideal. Avoid wearing converse-type sneakers or ballet shoes. Don't wear new shoes on these outings.

This is a route with great physical challenges, if you exercise regularly, this route is for you. This trail is level 4.20 (medium - high) due to the difficulty of the trail, the demand in most of the sections, the height and the distance we will travel, this requires considerable physical effort. What will the food be like?
