We will travel from Bogota to the Nature Reserve which surrounds this lovely waterfall. From there we will walk through dense countryside so as to observe the marvels of this beauty spot, approaching the waterfalls through an exuberant Andean wood where we will be able to enjoy the lovely scenery with its wonderful backdrop of mountains. The walk will take us through a cloud forest which harbours different species of native flora and fauna and thousands of species of birds. After walking for about an hour, the roar of the waterfall can be clearly heard, and on a clear day the highest point of the waterfall can be seen from quite a long way away as we walk towards it. Finally, we will arrive just underneath the waterfall to see its impressive fall through the greenery of the forest. Our route back will take us past El Chiflòn, another waterfall, behind which we can explore, at which point we will feel how powerfully and plentifully this water falls, as the spray and breeze from the water hitting the rocks clings to our skin.
