Tabacal Lagoon

The inhabitants of the municipality say that their ancestors, and especially the tribe of the Panche chief, performed their rituals on the Butulú hill, which is attached to the lagoon. From there they threw their golden offerings into the Tabacal and also at his enemies. In La Vega it is known as an enchanted lagoon, with colored waters, which sometimes turn blue, and other times, green. Its only inhabitants, ducks, watch over every movement of the island.

Chupal Waterfalls

Composed of 5 waterfalls, these have their source in the greater basin of the Tabacal River. It is a beautiful place in the middle of a tropical forest, where it is possible to take a bath.

Cacahual Wetland

A water mirror that has been restored with the efforts of the community and government entities, it is now a transit home for hundreds of migratory birds and residence for multiple species of fauna and flora.
