Quininí refers to "Sacred Mountain of the Moon or Goddess of the Moon", which is what it means in the language of the indigenous communities that lived there. This hill is located in the municipalities of Tibacuy and Cumaca, place of settlement of Panche communities. On the tour you will see rock painting and a beautiful landscape of the Magdalena River valley, the Chinauta plateau and Fusagasugá.

The approximately 4.5km ascent is made along royal roads of native oak forest, reaching the summit of the hill at Águila Peak.

We will leave Bogotá very early to travel to the municipality of Tibacuy where we will begin our ascent to Cerro Quininí. During the journey we will learn some of the stories that surround this emblematic place of worship of the Panche Civilization. We will make the ascent along royal roads and we will be able to see cave paintings, we will also cross an oak forest and climb near Pico del Águila to see the beautiful landscape of the Magdalena River valley and 11 municipalities of Cundinamarca. With luck we will see the Pico de Santa Isabel in the Parque de los Nevados.

This is a beautiful tour of fresh air, energy recharge and outdoor sports.

How do you know if this plan is for you?

This is an ideal route if you are looking for a comfortable and not so physically demanding experience. This trail is level 2.6 (Medium - Low Level) due to the distance and rocky areas of the trail, it is important that you consider that even though it is a comfortable trail, there may be sections with some climbs that represent some challenges on a physical level.

What will the food be like?
