Day 1
Nuevo Tolima Paintings: During the visit to the rock paintings of Nuevo Tolima we will observe a beautiful mural of paintings accessible after a short walk
Charco Largo - Natural Wells: In this place, waters of various colors converge through wells and underground caves carved into the rock. This natural phenomenon, according to scientists, is due to the surrounding minerals and vegetation. Furthermore, the passage of water over these stones has helped this process.
Day 2 Damas de Nare Lagoon
This lagoon in the middle of the jungle is home to pink dolphins, birds, fish and farmers who work to protect this natural setting. Econare is a venture that seeks to promote the conservation of natural reserves and the biodiversity present in the 81-hectare lagoon. The farmers living in the Laguna Damas del Nare village encourage and promote sustainable nature tourism for the enjoyment and well-being of visitors under the respect and good use of Amazonian natural resources.
Day 3 The Orion Gate
Walk through some rock formations of the Serranía de la Lindosa, belonging to the Guyanese Shield. We will pass through the Valley of the Labyrinths, the La Nevera Cave and the Orion Gate.
Pictograms of Nuevo Tolima
Hunting and fishing rituals, real and fantastic fauna, human copulation and pregnancy, and utensils for basket weaving and weaving are some of the images painted on murals by indigenous people who inhabited the La Lindosa mountain range (Guaviare) 7,250 years ago. This is one of the eight archaeological zones declared as a protected area by the Ministry of Culture.
Natural Wells
Waters of various colors flow through wells and underground grottoes carved into the rock. This natural phenomenon that, according to scientists, is due to the surrounding minerals and vegetation and the crystal clear waters that descend from the mountains.
Orion Gate
A type of outdoor sculpture is the Orion Gate, a stone structure that is fifteen meters wide and twelve meters high. Located nine kilometers from San José del Guaviare, the Orion Gate has two gaps several meters in diameter. In the region it is claimed that through the upper hole it is possible to see Orion's belt in December.
Ladies of Nare Lagoons
After a 68-kilometer journey making its way through the characteristic vegetation of tropical humid forests, you can see the enigmatic and colorful lagoon that houses the dolphin (Inía geofrensis or freshwater dolphin) in its waters. The locals comment "they are like ours." "children, mammals of spectacular particularity have always lived here" that, upon sensing visitors, dance and play, revealing their unique beauty.
