Escape from the city routine and immerse yourself in an archaeological and forest paradise, a place surrounded by orchids that attract various birds and butterflies, which direct you to an enchanting view and will make you level up in hiking.

Our expedition begins in the rural area of Cumaca, within the municipality of Tibacuy, where we will begin an incredible forest bath, we will see beautiful trees such as rubber and oak. We will be climbing until we reach the top of the blade, we will travel a high-level route, with incredible landscapes where we will have a panoramic view of Cerro Quinini, the Chinauta plateau, Fusagasugá, Silvania among other charming towns. Then we will descend through a beautiful forest full of bromeliads and ferns that will embrace us with every step.

We will leave Bogotá very early to travel to the municipality of Cumaca where we will begin our ascent to the Peñas Blancas Forest Reserve. During the journey we will find beautiful species of flora such as leafy rubber and oak trees, we will see magical butterflies and beautiful orchids that provide a sweet smell to the trail. On the way up we will have incredible panoramic views of the beautiful landscape of the Magdalena River valley and 11 municipalities of Cundinamarca. With luck we will see the Pico de Santa Isabel in the Parque de los Nevados.

This is an incredible expedition, in the middle of the forest and high in the mountains, a perfect outdoor activity.

How do you know if this plan is for you?

This is an ideal route if you are looking for a comfortable and not so physically demanding experience. This trail is level 4.2 (Medium - High Level) due to the distance and rocky areas of the trail, it has sections with ascents that represent some challenges on a physical level.

What will the food be like?
