Trekking to the Incredible Melcocho River from Medellín

You will be in one of the most crystalline rivers of all "South America" with short hiking trails where most of the time you will be in the crystal clear waters of the river that we have mentioned, relaxing, having fun and letting this incredible stream flow.
This trekking will make you connect with nature and all its surroundings since you will walk wonderful trails and you will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscapes that the department of Antioquia offers you, since this experience is located in the San Francisco trail (approximately two hours from Medellin). This trekking has an easy level but still is not recommended for those who are just starting in the world of hiking.

This incredible experience will only take one day of our life but it will last in our memory forever.
You will leave early from the meeting point at the Estación Expositores and enjoy breakfast in Cocorná. You will arrive at Pailania and start your journey through a trail that leads you to the Melcocho River. You will have lunch at approximately two o'clock in the afternoon and you will be back in the city of Medellin at five o'clock the same day to end this experience.

Cocorna
Cocorná is an ancient Antioquia town that took its name from a chief named Cocorná, an aboriginal inhabitant and leader of these territories when the conquerors arrived.
Pailania
The place marks the limits between Cocorná and San Francisco, specifically in the Las Aguadas ravine, with most of the territory corresponding to the second municipality. In fact, the road that serves as a crossing between San Francisco and El Retiro, the path corresponding to Cocorná, is formed there.
Melcocho River
One of the most beautiful and surprising rivers in Colombia is located in Eastern Antioquia. This is the Melcocho River, a natural attraction that is characterized by the transparency of its waters that give life to majestic waterfalls.
