This Journey through the imposing Duda Canyon is a highly difficult mountain route suitable for expert walkers, considered the most difficult Trekking in Colombia, where we will walk along an integration route for peace, where we will be immersed in a resilient natural paradise that It has been stigmatized by the conflict, however its local communities have worked hard on the initiative to make known through tourism the wonders that are hidden in the depths of the Duda River Canyon.

If you are looking to connect with nature, break your limits, experience high-level trekking and experience a challenge full of history, community tourism, this plan is perfect for you. We will walk from the Páramo de Sumapaz (Meta sector) at 3600 meters above sea level to the Duda River basin in the department of Meta.

We will walk from the paramo area to Tempranos and we will be able to rest in a shared rural accommodation, where we will have a cultural exchange and see up close the experiences and stories of the local community. We will be immersed in the Duda and we will have the opportunity to walk to the Duda Center where we will listen to interesting stories that today come to life thanks to its residents who are committed to local development, social and environmental resilience. We will have a return walk where we will go up to the moor again and then return to Bogotá.

👕 Pack enough clothes for four days. We suggest avoiding the use of cotton clothing and wearing synthetic fiber clothing that allows quick drying, in general special clothing for high mountains: jacket, quick-drying pants, wool hat, gloves, glasses with UV filter. They will be hikes through high mountains, therefore you must be in good physical condition. We will start from 3600 meters above sea level. And we will reach 900 meters above sea level. The difficulty is high and the tours last between 12 and 8 hours depending on the itinerary of the day.
