The "Rincón del Oso" trail is located in the Andean forests of the area of influence of the Chingaza National Natural Park. Through this route you can observe the natural and cultural values that make these places strategic in the conservation of water resources. You will have the opportunity to explore the wonderful universe of wild flora and fauna typical of the high Andean forest and paramo ecosystems and appreciate two spectacular ravines that, in turn, are the beginning of the White River. We will follow the trails of the Spectacled Bear and hopefully we will be able to find him along the way.

We will leave Bogotá very early in the morning to meet our environmental interpreter who belongs to the communities surrounding the park and will accompany us throughout the entire tour of the Chingaza PNN. Upon our arrival at the park we will have an introductory talk and we will learn a little more about the extension, the fauna and flora and the ecological importance of this Natural Park.

The "Rincón del Oso" trail is located in the Andean forests of the area of influence of the Chingaza National Natural Park (PNN), through this route you can observe the natural and cultural values that make these places strategic in the conservation of the resource. water, the first 3 km go through a path surrounded by moorland, which leads to the old bases of the aerial cable that transported the limestone of the cement company, from this point, the path enters the high Andean forest . With a little luck and the skill of the guide it will be possible to observe samples of the native fauna and flora of these beautiful landscapes.

How do you know if this plan is for you?

This trail is level 3 (medium). It is not necessary to have experience in hiking but it is necessary to be in good physical condition. This trail has a distance of 11 km that takes 5 hours. The path is well defined, depending on the rain conditions it can get a little smooth and we will have to cross a ravine.

What will the food be like?
