Magical Nature in Santander: Quebradas Las Gachas, Cascadas Los Caballeros, La Humeadora and Manto de la Virgen

Day 1

We will leave Bogotá heading to the Municipality of Guadalupe in Santander. where we will have a delicious regional breakfast. We will take the route to Las Gachas, this tour lasts approximately 45 minutes where you can enjoy a wonderful natural environment, feel the force of the water and take photographs. Afterwards, we continue this journey to the waterfall called Los Caballeros, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim and then head to our hotel and have a delicious dinner.

Day 2

The second day we will go to the Manto de La Virgen, there we can enjoy its beauty and take the best memories in photographs, and we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch.

Afterwards, we will continue our way to the Hondura Canyon, where we will also enjoy an excellent ecological trail, to return along the same route of arrival to enjoy dinner at the corresponding hotel.

Day 3

On this day we will have a delicious breakfast and then go to the Chocó Cave and enjoy nature and its surroundings, the tour will begin according to the instructions of our guide. Then, we will go to the La Humeadora route, which is an incredible experience where you will appreciate with all your senses this gift that nature offers us.

Municipality of Guadalupe

Guadalupe is a town in Colombia located in the Comunera province within the department of Santander, in the Suárez River basin. Its foundation dates back to 1715 and is attributed to the Camacho Sabidos family. This municipality is made up of 155 square kilometers of which 2.5 kilometers correspond to the urban area.

Gambita Municipality

In the language of the Chibchas it means "The People of Flowers." Natural sites of special beauty abound in Gámbita everywhere, making it a town with an invaluable natural and landscape heritage.

The Mantle of the Virgin and The Canyon of Hondura

We will walk to the highest point of Gámbita, on this route we will visit the Manto de la Virgen waterfall and our final prize will be to reach the top of the La Hondura canyon to enjoy a unique landscape.

La Humeadora Waterfall

For many, it is the best route. Here we will enjoy a series of ocher-colored waterfalls, the experience is unique, we will go behind a huge waterfall!

Las Gachas Waterfall

Large rock or elongated slab, in which holes have naturally formed that fill with water and form natural jacuzzis, the color of the rock gives a reddish hue to the water.

Chocó Cave

Natural heritage of Gámbita, the municipality's quintessential wealth, this incredible and immense cavern consists of 2 rooms connected by a water well that exalts the two sectors. Each room with its high ceilings, particular geological formations and rocks formed by dripping are the decorations of this mansion on earth.

💧Carry a bottle of water and maintain constant hydration,

🧢 Wear a hat or cap to protect yourself from the sun. It is important to use sunscreen, remember to use a mineral sunscreen for your face.

👕 Pack light clothes, enough for hot land for three days. We suggest long pants and a long-sleeved shirt since during the walks we will encounter trees with long branches and this will help us avoid scratches. It is also important to carry a raincoat in case of rain.

🥾 Wear comfortable shoes, preferably hiking shoes, in any case avoid ballet shoes or cloth tennis shoes. It is important to bring a change of shoes in case your shoes get wet during the tour.

🩱 Pack your bathing suit and a towel for personal use.

💊 Bring your medications and personal documents (medical insurance card and ID)

🎒 Do not use a wheeled suitcase and carry an additional kangaroo or small backpack so you can take your personal items on walks.

🧣 We suggest bringing a blanket for the cold in the early morning when leaving Bogotá.
