Immersion in a Natural Paradise on the Banks of the La Miel River

Day 1

We will visit the municipality of Guaduas where we will have a spectacular view of the Magdalena River and we will have breakfast, then we will continue the road to reach the eco hotel which we will have to reach by small boat. The place is spectacular and is built in bamboo with respect for nature, the cabins are located on the shore of the Honey River. After lunch we will descend on floats down the La Miel River to its mouth in the Samaná River. This is a moment of disconnection to enjoy nature and spot howler monkeys, turtles, and a wide variety of birds. Finally we will enjoy dinner and have a space to rest.

Day 2

We will wake up to the lullaby of nature, have breakfast and take a boat tour to visit the La Pardo waterfalls. We will be able to swim in the river and we will be able to return on tires surrounded by jungle and a spectacular landscape. We will have lunch and visit the Rainbow waterfall. After this we will return to the hotel, to get ready and return to Bogotá.

Municipality of Guadúas

Included in the Network of Heritage Towns of Colombia in 2012, the Villa of San Miguel de las Guaduas is the full name of this municipality where part of Colombia's history was woven. It was a residence of viceroys in the Colonial era and the birthplace of the revolutionary leader Policarpa Salavarrieta; one of its attractions is precisely the La Pola Museum House, a construction dating back to 1770, made of bahareque and with a roof of palm thatch, which preserves trunks, the Christ, and the liturgical book of Policarpa's brothers, two Augustinian Recollect friars.

La Miel River

The river bathes this beautiful cattle area of La Dorada in Caldas, considered the second largest after Montería in Córdoba. It is a beautiful river, where you can engage in various activities such as navigating the river, horseback riding along its banks, cycling, or simply walking.

La Pardo Waterfall

At the waterfall, you can enjoy a beautiful natural landscape, with emerald green-blue waters, where you can take a refreshing swim. Here, on the way back, you can also go Tubing, an activity that involves riding and descending aboard a tire in a 3 km route.

Rainbow Waterfall

An incredible waterfall that, when reflecting sunlight, gives rise to its name. In its fall, it meets a water pool where you can take a refreshing bath.

🧢 Wear a hat or cap to protect yourself from the sun. It is important to use sunscreen, remember to use a mineral sunscreen for your face.

👕 Pack light clothes, enough for hot land for two days. We suggest long pants and a long-sleeved shirt since during the walks we will encounter trees with long branches and this will help us avoid scratches. It is also important to bring a raincoat in case of rain and a towel for personal use.

🥾 Wear comfortable shoes, preferably hiking shoes, in any case avoid ballet shoes or cloth tennis shoes. It is important to bring a change of shoes in case your shoes get wet during the tour.

💊 Bring your medications and personal documents (medical insurance card and ID), there are no ATMs in the area. Therefore, we suggest bringing the cash you consider necessary for your personal expenses.

🎒 Do not use a wheeled suitcase and carry an additional kangaroo or small backpack so you can take your personal items on walks.

🔦 We suggest bringing a blanket for the cold in the early morning when leaving Bogotá, repellent and a flashlight.

🥽 You can wear glasses or a mask to practice snorkeling.
