We will leave the noise and pollution of the city to recharge ourselves with energy and learn about the history of conservation of a beautiful cloud forest. For more than 50 years, the architect Fernando Cortes has put all his knowledge in urban planning and restoration into this wonderful reserve that is configured as one of the small conservation relics in this area along with the Chicaque and Pedro Palo reserves.

We will learn part of this process and walk through this beautiful nature reserve home to more than 200 sloth bears, squirrels, leaf-tailed hummingbirds, racket-tailed hummingbirds and many other species. A space to breathe fresh air, disconnect, and enjoy nature.

roadtrip:info.whatYouWillDo

We will leave Bogotá heading to the Tequendama region and enjoy a beautiful natural reserve that has 249 hectares of biodiversity and more than 50 years of work in environmental restoration. We will arrive at the reserve to learn about its history and walk the trails that cross this wonderful cloud forest where you can see gigantic oaks, a wide variety of bromeliads and gigantic ferns. We can also enjoy some bodies of water and waterfalls that will allow us to have a real forest bath to completely disconnect from the city.

With luck we will be able to see one of the more than 200 sloth bears that inhabit the nature reserve along the way. At the end of the walk we will have a delicious lunch in the main cabin and we will have time to enjoy its beautiful gardens.
