Live 4 days surrounded by spectacular landscapes, this majestic volcano offers you the opportunity to explore its trails in the middle of virgin nature. This is a challenging, high-level experience in which you can share with indigenous guides who have created an ideal space for the most adventurous travelers, who love to take on challenges and push their limits, to conquer the top of this incredible mountain.

On this trip you will be able to:

-Get to know the Nasa indigenous reservation

-Walk in the High Andean Forest

-Camping in high mountain camp bases

-Conquer the summit of the South Peak of Huila

Note: Our experience begins from Paez Cauca, it is important to take into account the following recommendations according to the type of transportation chosen:

-If you leave from the city of Bogotá: You can take a flight to Neiva, then you must take ground transportation to Plata Huila and from there another bus to Belalcazar

-By land from Bogotá, there is a bus that leaves from the saltpeter terminal every day at 6:00 PM in module one, this bus comes directly from Bogota to Belalcazar Páez.

-If you come from Santander or Medellín there is an air route ✈ from these two destinations to the city of Neiva. Then you must take land transportation to Plata Huila and from there another bus to Belalcazar.

- There are air routes from Bogotá to Popayán with airlines such as: Avianca, EasyFly and then take transportation to Belalcazar

We will experience one of the best high level trekking routes in Colombia to conquer the second highest mountain in Colombia

First day: we will have a cultural exchange in the indigenous reservation, and then take courage to the meeting point and walk up to the paramo area at 3600 meters above sea level.

Second Day: We will get up early to arrive at the Marte Base Camp, we will learn about the proper use of high mountain assault equipment necessary for the summit attempt. 4600 meters above sea level.

Third day: We will leave at dawn to make the Summit Attempt of the second highest mountain in Colombia, from 4800 meters above sea level to the South Peak of Nevado and we will descend to the Marte Base Camp.

Fourth day: We will descend to the indigenous reservation and return to our initial meeting point in Belalcázar.

Nevado del Huila

Protected area that is declared by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve, which has the largest glacial relic of the imposing central mountain range. It is considered important since there are strategic ecosystems for the maintenance of biodiversity and human life such as the paramos. Here the Magdalena River and the Cauca River are born, this snow-capped mountain is cataloged as the water star of the Colombian massif.
