Today this city is configured as a place of great cultural diversity and a destination to discover incredible places surrounded by nature. We have designed a tour that combines the best of the Historic Center of Bogotá with the wonderful paramo ecosystem that surrounds the city.

La Candelaria Historic Center

La Candelaria is a colonial and republican neighborhood where many of its houses still preserve their architecture and have been declared assets of historical and cultural interest. The steep stone streets of La Candelaria, which seem to reach to the sky, have seen the history of the country pass by. Long before Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada founded this city in a valley of fortresses and built twelve huts in the Chorro de Quevedo, it was a sacred site for the Muiscas.

Gold Museum

The Bogotá Gold Museum preserves the largest collection of pre-Hispanic goldsmithing – 34,000 pieces of gold and tumbaga – in the world and is an unmissable setting on your visit to the capital of Colombia. Each piece that rests in the Gold Museum is an exceptional testimony of the cultural richness and the variety of visions of the world that existed in Colombia thousands of years before the Spanish arrival. This is, without a doubt, a magical setting that you should know.

Sumapaz Paramo

One of the main functions of the ecosystems that the Park protects is the water regulation of the upper basins of the Tunjuelo, Sumapaz, Blanco, Ariari, Guape, Duda and Cabrera rivers as providers of ecosystem services for the Capital District and the departments of Meta. , Huila and Cundinamarca.

Chingaza National Natural Park

It is an extensive territory that contains one of the main water sources that provides water to much of Bogotá. We will tour the lush mountains of this beautiful natural park. We will travel to the refuge in Monteredondo, where we will begin the 4-hour walking adventure to have a unique contact with the paramo ecosystem.
