This is a wonderful two-day Road Trip. The first day we will leave Santa Marta to discover the charming waterfalls in the Sierra Nevada where we can cool off with a swim in freshwater pools. To get here it is necessary to walk for an hour and a half. After enjoying this wonderful place, at noon we will arrive at Playa Los Ángeles, a beautiful and quiet beach in the area of influence of Tayrona. Here we will spend the night.

The second we will travel to the Kogui indigenous community of Tungueka. To get there we will walk for an hour and a half. This is a settlement of more than 100 Kogi families. Here we can learn more about their customs and traditions. Afterwards we will enjoy a bath in a beautiful well very close to the settlement. Around 2:00 p.m. we will return to the car to have lunch and return to Santa Marta.

Day 1

In the morning we will walk in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to discover a beautiful waterfall among the mountains. Depending on the time of year you can see its beautiful green color. You can also enjoy a refreshing bath.

To get to the waterfall we will walk for an hour and a half, the path has some climbs so some physical effort is required. After enjoying the waterfall we will go down to the car to visit Playa Los Ángeles.

The afternoon will be spent relaxing on the beach where you can play with the waves, walk on the beach, visit the viewpoint, read or simply relax. There is a restaurant on site where you can have lunch or dinner.

Here we will spend the night.

Day 2

We will have breakfast and then take a 40-minute trip to Río Ancho. There we will begin to walk for two hours to reach the Kogui community of Tungueka. We will visit the community to learn about its traditional buildings, geographical organization, and some of its traditions.

You can also take a refreshing swim in the river that is fed by waters from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

A Kogi settlement, which maintains its customs and traditions and opens its doors to teach us about its culture.

Guachaca Waterfall

It is a beautiful crystal clear body of water between the mountains. A place with the wonders of the mountains, its rocks, crystal clear water, mountains and greenery.

Los Angeles Beach

In the area of influence of Tayrona there is a beach of around 5 km, ideal for walking or enjoying the sea. It is recommended to be careful since the waves are intermediate and it is open sea.

🥾Travel clothing: It is important to wear comfortable and fresh clothing, it can be quick-drying synthetic clothing. Tennis or closed shoes for hiking. You can also bring some additional sandals. Swimsuit. Hat or Cap. Scarf, buff or sarong to protect you from the sun.​

🤓 Special recommendations: It is very important to be well protected from the sun and constantly hydrated during the trip. Bring your camera and binoculars to facilitate the observation of fauna and flora.

In these places it is advisable to have the Yellow Fever vaccine. If you take specific medications, take them with you. It never hurts to carry a personal first aid kit.
