If you like nature and little-explored emerging destinations with great natural and cultural value, this trip is perfect for you. The El Tuparro National Natural Park is the core area of the El Tuparro Biosphere Reserve, declared in 1982 by UNESCO and is the only Protected Area that preserves a sample of the ecosystems of the Colombian highlands.
The Park is a refuge for the biodiversity of fauna and flora immersed in the beautiful landscapes of the imposing Guyanese Shield that makes up the dry and flooded savannahs, gallery forests, overflow and dry land forests, amazing rocky outcrops and the majestic rapids of the Orinoco River. The Park is a territory of cultural importance for the indigenous communities of the Curripaco, Sikuani, Mapayerri and Piaroa ethnic groups, among others.
Day 1: Visit Puerto Carreño and PNN Tuparro
This first day we will get to know various ecosystems such as morichales, gallery forests and beautiful rocky outcrops, we will get to know the Bita River, Los Caños Dagua and Mesetas, Cerros Cachicamo, we will be able to watch birds and we will navigate the Tomo River and we will sleep in the Tuparro PNN
Day 2: PNN Tuparro- Visit Cerro del Guahibo and Raudal de Maipures
We will visit the imposing Cerro Guahibo, an incredible rocky outcrop that is part of the Guyanese Shield, we will be able to have an incredible view and get to know the Orinoco River with its imposing Maipures Rapid,
Day 3: PNN Tuparro- Río Tomo, Anaconda Trail and Attalea Trail
We will navigate the Orinoco River, we will see the mouth of the Tomo River, with a little luck we will be able to spot dolphins and we will walk along the Anaconda trail and the Attalea trail. We will walk to a viewpoint to appreciate the Maipures Raudal.
Day 4: PNN Tuparro- Raudales de Atures return to Puerto Carreño
We will tour the Orinoco River, we will visit the Atures Raudales classified as the widest in the world, we will walk and have lunch in front of Puerto Ayacucho, we will spend the night in Puerto Carreño
Day 5: Puerto Carreño- Visit Bojonawi Reserve
We will close the trip with a flourish while exploring the amazing Bojonawi Reserve, if we are lucky we will be able to see otters, dolphins and some birds. We will visit the El Pañuelo Lagoon, we will reach the mouth of the Bita and Meta Rivers.

Puerto Carreno
Capital of the department of Vichada, founded in 1922, at the confluence of the Orinoco and Meta rivers, formerly known as "El Picacho" and was named Puerto Carreño in honor of the government minister of the time Pedro María Carreño.
PNN Tuparro
This place can be described in terms of landscape as an extensive green savannah crossed by wonderful rivers with powerful rapids and golden beaches, small streams with crystalline waters, gallery forests, morichales and sandillales, where you can see beautiful and gigantic rocks in the shape of rounded hills. The presence of more than 320 species of birds is estimated. It is declared a biosphere reserve.
Guahibo Hill
Formerly called by the indigenous people of the region as Quituna, the waters of the Maipures stream belong to the extensive Orinoco River.

Formerly called by the indigenous people of the region as Quituna, the waters of the Maipures stream belong to the extensive Orinoco River.
Tomo River
This is the tributary of the Orinoco River, where much of the biodiversity of this territory is perceived.
Anaconda and Attalea Trail
Beautiful trails where you can appreciate the exuberant nature of the savannas and their various species that provide adequate space to take photographs.
Bojonawi Reserve
A reserve known as the little giant where the biodiversity of the Orinoquia region flourishes, this civil society natural reserve is home to more than 1,400 species of flora and fauna

🧢 Wear a hat or cap to protect yourself from the sun. It is important to use sunscreen, remember to use a mineral sunscreen for your face.
👕 Pack light clothes, enough for hot land for five days and that include a change of clothes. We suggest long pants and a long-sleeved shirt since some routes have trees with long branches and this will help us avoid scratches. It is also important to bring a raincoat. Carry comfortable luggage previously packed in plastic bags to avoid humidity
🥾 Wear comfortable shoes, preferably hiking shoes, in any case avoid ballet shoes or fabric tennis shoes. It is important to bring a change of shoes in case your shoes get wet during the tour.
💊 Bring your medications and personal documents (medical insurance card and ID), there are no ATMs in the area. Therefore, we suggest bringing the cash you consider necessary for your personal expenses.
🎒 Do not use a wheeled suitcase and carry an additional kangaroo or small backpack so you can take your personal items on walks.
🔦 Carry a flashlight.
🧴 Bring organic repellent and sunscreen to avoid contaminating water sources.
🩱 Don't forget to pack your swimsuit and towel for personal use.
✋🏻Keep in mind that you are responsible for your belongings. Protect your electronic devices and personal documents from rain and humidity.
✋🏻Carry your cell phone charged, this will allow you to take photographs and use it in case of emergency.
✋🏻Your safety is very important, please be cautious, always keep the group in sight and follow the instructions of the guide or trip coordinator.

✋🏻Strictly follow your doctor's instructions regarding injuries and if necessary, carry your personal medications.
