The Farallones del Citará are part of the rock formation of the Western Cordillera of the Andes, and share jurisdiction with the department of Antioquia and Chocó, being the second highest geographical feature after the Paramo del Sol.
This experience is also called (El Cerro San Nicolas) is one of the most demanding routes in Antioquia, it is not suitable for everyone. We will carry for three days backpacks of at least 12 kilos, the access to water is limited, and we must carry all the food and mountain equipment. And as if that were not enough, the terrain is full of vines and ravines to climb. However, it's all part of the adventure and a strong mind can go as far as your heart desires.

The Farallones are located 17 km from the urban center of Ciudad Bolívar. The "Muela" at the top of the Farallones del Citará reaches an altitude of 4020 meters above sea level. A place that will leave you breathless and where you will witness the divide between the department of Antioquia and Chocó.
For this reason we invite you to be part of this great adventure which we will leave at 4:00 pm from the city of Medellin to go to Ciudad Bolivar to make the respective installation in the hotel and take the necessary indications from our guide.
Around 5:00 am the next day, we will be on our way to the mountain base, which will be our next destination to arrive at approximately 3:00 pm and then take a rest.
Then on day 3 we will have breakfast very early to start the trekking tour around 8:00 am, we will have lunch and then start the descent of the mountain.
Finally, we will dismantle the camp to go to Ciudad Bolivar and end this experience that will be very enriching for our soul and spirit.
Bolivar City.
It is known as "Capital of the Southwest of Antioquia". This municipality has been called Ciudad Bolívar since 1962. The inhabitants of Ciudad Bolívar are traditionally cordial. This large town, far from the hustle and bustle, has very good hotel service, and is located in a valley with gentle breezes, in the far "Southwest" area of the department of Antioquia.
Farallones del Citará.
It is one of those charming places that Colombia has. It is a chain of imposing mountains, which are part of the Farallones del Citará Regional Protective Forest Reserve. These rock formations are located 17 kilometers from Ciudad Bolívar.
This magical experience is recommended for people with an adventurous spirit, people who seek to challenge themselves and see the mountain and nature as a scenario to know themselves, connect and undertake the process of detachment from fear and trepidation.
